A 17-year-old prospective model is set to become the face of Bicester after 1,000 people helped select the town’s Teen Face 2012.

Instigated by Phil Hawley, principle photographer at PH Positive Studio, the competition saw 10 hopefuls whittled done to five, via a online vote, and the winner was chosen by judges from Jon Russell Hair Salon and Bohemian Beauty.

This week Bicester Mayor Dan Sames presented 17-year-old Georgina Smith with a portfolio to help her find more work.

Over the coming year it is hoped Georgina will feature in marketing campaigns for the portrait studio and other local businesses filling up her new portfolio.

Mr Hawley said he has done promotional work for Bicester businesses in the past, but had always been forced to use a model from outside the area.

He said: “This is a perfect opportunity to use a local talent to help promote local businesses.”
