Our first photograph was taken by eyewitness Tom Whelan on Monday night before the emergency services arrived on the scene.

The second was taken by Advertiser photographer Jake McNulty on Tuesday morning.

Two fire crews from Buckingham fought to bring the fire under control, along with crews from Bletchley, Waddesdon and Brackley.

Although firefighters brought the fire under control during the night and following morning, a relief crew from Buckingham Fire Station was still maintaining a presence yesterday morning, Thursday.

Thames Valley Police and Bucks Fire & Rescue Service are liaising closely to establish whether the fire was deliberately set.

Anyone who has any information about the cause of the fire, or who saw any suspicious activity in the area of the A422 between Buckingham and Brackley on Monday night, should contact Det Con James Horseman via the 24-hour police non-emergency number, 0845 8 505 505.
