Police hunt man over sex assaults

POLICE are on the hunt for a man who sexually assaulted a teenage girl and a woman in broad daylight in two separate incidents.

A teenager and a woman were assaulted within a short time of each other near the car park on Western Avenue on Monday, August 2.

At around 1pm, the girl was approached by a man and was indecently touched, before he walked off.

Around a quarter of an hour later, a woman was also indecently touched

by a man fitting the same description, who also made offensive comments.

The man, who is described as white, aged between 30 and 40, and around

5ft 7in tall, was wearing rectangular shaped glasses and was clean shaven.

He had a beige or light blue baseball cap on with neutral coloured trousers, a black jacket with a collar and he was carrying a purple or yellow carrier bag. Although neither person was injured, they have both been left distressed by the incident.

PC Kevin Isaac said: "This is something unusual and out of context for

Buckingham so we are keen to try to find out who it is.

"It happened in broad daylight and near the car park where people are

regularly coming and going, so there must have been people around at the

time."

He added he hoped someone who recognised the man from the description or anyone else who had been assaulted by him would step forward.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Lorraine Mead or PC

Isaac on 08458 505505 or they can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800

555111.
