Candidates announced for district ballot next month

CANDIDATES for the Cherwell District Council elections on May 3 have been announced.

Cards with polling station details were sent to eligible voters on March 28.

In the Bicester East ward, Ray Perkins will stand for the Labour Party, and Lawrie Stratford will stand for the Conservative Party.

In Bicester North, Colin Cockshaw will stand as an independent; Barbara Fairweather will stand for UKIP; Nicholas Mawer will stand for the Conservative Party; and Kevin Walsh will stand for the Labour Party.

In Bicester South, Darren Cain will stand for UKIP; Nicholas Cotter will stand for the Liberal Democrats; Graham Newell will stand for the Green Party;

Neil Payne will stand for the Labour Party; and Dan Sames will stand for the Conservative Party.

In Bicester Town, Mary Lynch will stand for the Labour Party, and Debbie Pickford will stand for the Conservative Party.

In Bicester West, Russell Hurle will stand for the Conservative Party, and Fraser Webster will stand for the Labour Party.
