DUE to poplar demand an independent business in Brackley is extending his opening hours.

Jay Shah of The Postie in High Street will be extending his opening hours to 7.30am to 6pm Monday to Thursday, 7.30am to 9pm Thursday, Friday and Saturday and will now be open every Sunday from 8.30am to 1.30pm.

To promote the new opening times Mr Shah has once again teamed up with the Advertiser to give something back to our readers and his customers.

With every copy of the Advertiser sold at the Postie customers can claim a free tube of Trebor Extra Strong Mints.

Mr Shah said previous Advertiser giveaways attracted a great deal of attention and added: “We doubled our sales of the Advertiser and I had calls, interviews and stories with five retail trade magazines.

“But the main point is we’ve had a great response in the two years we’ve been here, we’ve still got a way to go, but our customers certainly want more of what we do and that is why we’ve extended the opening hours.”

Mr Shah said the extended opening will also allow late night shoppers to take advantage of The Postie’s competitive pricing on beer and wine.

And in the near future he will be investigating the possibility of opening the Post Office counter earlier.

Mr Shah added: “We’ve invested a lot of money and hard work in the Post Office counter and the store, but we are taking a longer term view. We are here to help and to serve the community.”

The Post Office counter provides a full range of services including a bureau de change.
