Friendship is the aim of the game when you are part of the Woman’s Institute, and those values were out in full force at a special event to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday.

The In The Pink event attracted WI members from branches around Bucks, including Grendon Underwood, Edgcott and Kingswood.

Honorary ‘Queen for the day’ was Pauline Hearne, who enjoyed being treated like royalty on her birthday.

Geraldine Rees, president of the Grendon Underwood branch also won the competition for best home made tiara.
Entertainment on the day was provided by The Dotties and the singing Fabulettes, as well as sketches from members.
