The Winslow District Ramblers marked the start of their new winter programme with strolls near Addington, Thornborough, Bradwell Abbey and Stony Stratford last month.

The winter programme began with a trek near Addington on December 8, taking in part of the old Oxford to Bletchley railway.

Ramblers spotted an elusive little egret on a walk through North Loughton Valley Park on December 12, passing Bradwell Abbey and the Bancroft Roman Villa.

The group’s social evening was held on December 14 at the Old Thatched Inn in Adstock, and other December walks took in Stony Stratford, Potterspury and Winslow.

Newcomers are welcome to join the group. Visit www.bucksvoice.net/winslow-district-ramblers-group for details and contact information.
