After choosing the buildings where the new lights should go, the owners were tracked down and asked for permission to put lights up on the buildings.

But after three months, the town council has only received two responses.

At the town council’s September meeting, it was decided that no additional Christmas lights will be provided for Buckingham Town Centre this year, as there is not enough time for contractors to complete the task.

Buckingham Town Council urges business owners to consider whether they would like to have Christmas lights on their building next year, and if so to help the town council seek permission by contacting the owner of the building.
