Residents have raised concerns over plans to use Brookfield Lane as the access route for construction traffic while a new science block is being built at the Royal Latin School.

An application for the erection of the £5 million ‘Discovery Centre’ is currently with planners at Aylesbury Vale District Council, no 13/01415/APP.

While residents support the new development, several have registered their objection to the proposal to use Brookfield Lane as the access route for lorries.

A meeting was held at the school on Monday night for residents to have their say.

Headteacher David Hudson told the Advertiser: “We listened carefully to the concerns residents raised regarding contractors’ use of Brookfield Lane and wehave promised to investigate the viability of other options.”
