TWO women will be joining 80 others in an epic cycle ride across Kenya to raise money for charity.

Shirley Worth, from Winslow, and Sharon Humphries, from Buckingham, will be donning cycling helmets in February to take part in the Women V Cancer Challenge, which will raise cash for Breast Cancer Care, Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust and Ovarian Cancer Action.

Mrs Worth, who is a personal trainer at Bourton Mill, in Buckingham, said part of her had always wanted to go to Kenya and this would be a celebration of her 50th birthday at the end of the year.

She added she was putting in £1,500 of her own money to pay for transport and living costs and needed to raise another £600.

An open day is being held at Bourton Mill on Sunday which will include a barbecue, manned by Mrs Worth’s son and his friend, who are both chefs, and bouncy castle.
