CHARITY: A 24-hour sponsored bike ride has been planned to raise awareness about the impacts of Motor Neurone Disease.
Amateur athletes Alan Webb and Stuart Birrell have organised the event after a friend’s MND diagnosis to raise awareness of the difficulties those with this condition face.
The Buckingham Bike Event will start on Friday, September 14 and run until the following day, in the pedestrian area outside Waitrose.
A team of six plan to take turns cycling on the stationary gym bike, on loan from the Buckingham Leisure Centre. They will also give out information about MND and collect donations, with the help of volunteers from Syresham Cycles.
