Running for charities

MEMBERS of the Brackley and District Running club will be cheering on three of their athletes during Sunday’s race.

Sue Torrance, two time club champion, has completed the London Marathon once and is training hard to bet achieve her dream of completing the distance in less than four hours. Her chosen charity is the Royal London Society for the Blind, - visit www.justgiving.com/sue-torrance.

Along side her will be Jayne Cooper who first ran the 1998 marathon in a respectable time of five hours 15 minutes. Wanting to do better Mrs Coopers joined the running club and is now hoping to finish in less than four and a half hours. Her chosen charity is Dogs for the Disabled.

Karen Heslop holds the club’s highest hopes as she attempts to finish in less than three hours 50 minutes. She is raising money for Breakthrough for Breast Cancer, - visit www.virginmoneygiving/karenheslop.
