Police sniffer dogs went to school on Monday after parents of Magdalen College School students in Brackley called for support on issues surrounding illegal drugs.

Police dogs carried out searches of the gym and dining room after Brackley police gave drug advice and answered questions from the students. Headteacher Ian Colling said: “We’re aware of the increasing availability of drugs within our locality and the wider society. We want to do what we can to support all of our students in making the right decision about the use of illegal substances.”

The event followed a drugs information evening for parents, at which it was suggested the school should make a bold statement to the community about its stance on drugs.
