Staff and students at The Cooper School in Bicester hosted a Christmas lunch for senior citizens on Tuesday last week.

The annual lunch at the school in Churchill Road was attended by more than 90 people.

This is the fourth year the school has provided a three-course traditional Christmas lunch.

Guests were also treated to seasonal songs by the school choir.

The school played Father Christmas on Thursday last week when it delivered more than 40 Christmas hampers around the town and to surrounding villages.

Food and other items for the Christmas lunch and hampers had been donated by students, parents, governors and many local businesses.

Donors included The Co-op, Bicester Round Table, Bicester Ladies’ Circle, Wyevale Garden Centre, Orchard Baptist Church, Bicester Choral and Operatic Society and Tesco.
