Bicester’s new Vue cinema is looking for residents who deserve celebrity status for doing good in the community.
The cinema is asking mums, dads, children, teachers, pupils, friends, family and colleagues to nominate those they feel should be recognised for helping others.
The local celebrity will get star treatment for a day, including having their handprints set in concrete as in Hollywood’s Walk of Fame.
Vue spokesman Ryan Newland said: “At the new Vue cinema we want everyone to feel like they are in Hollywood.
“There are so many people that do a lot of good for others in Bicester and we want to highlight this, by giving them celebrity status.
“So let us who you think is worthy of being treated like a star. I’m sure it will be an easy task.”
As well as having their handprints displayed, the winner will be invited to walk down the red carpet and enjoy an exclusive VIP preview screening of Monsters University with their family.
Residents are invited to email a maximum of 500 words and a picture of who they think the winner should be to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The deadline for nominations is next Friday, June 28.
As well as films, the fully-digital seven-screen cinema will have live 2D and 3D music concerts, sporting events, gaming, comedy, opera and ballet.
Two of the cinema’s seven screens will be 3D-capable, and the venue will have 871 seats.
Vue will offer concessions at off-peak times as well as for children, teens and seniors. Orange Wednesdays and Nectar Point offers will also apply.
