A skiing and snowboarding group is not the most conventional club to find in the centre of England – but that is exactly what is on offer in Winslow!

Town resident Sally Hutton is starting up a group for slope enthusiasts based in north Bucks and the surrounding area in a bid to share her passion for snow.

Winslow Snow Club is open to anybody aged 18 or over and it costs nothing to become a member, except the cost of the monthly trip to the Snozone in Milton Keynes, which is about £20.

Sally said: “I’ve recently moved to the area and used to visit the Snozone in Yorkshire regularly with friends.

“I like to ski once a month and thought it would be fun to get a group of other people from the area together to visit the Snozone at Milton Keynes.”

Sally is a keen skier and though she is not a regular on the slopes, she is looking for more members in order to create a social group of ski and snowboarding enthusiasts.

She has big future plans as the group develops and hopes there is potential for members to share drinks over the BBC’s Ski Sunday and enjoy occasional group winter sport holidays.

Whether you are an expert snowboarder or just a novice skier, anyone wanting to hit the slopes at their own pace and as part of a group is welcome to join. For more information, contact Sally at winslowsnow@yahoo.co.uk
