Slideshow: School fair inspires future scientists

Hands-on science activities were shared with more than 500 primary pupils at the Royal Latin School community science outreach fair in Buckingham.

For the 11th year running, Year Two students enjoyed meeting meerkats, skunks, snakes, parrots and frogs and taking part in experiments about liquids and gases and acids and alkalis.

Year Five students took over some teaching activities, leading the pupils in things like making glue from milk and bouncy balls from glue.

French students at St Jean Moulin School in Beziers delivered one of the days’ events to students in English as part of an outreach project.
