Snowfall has caused disruption this morning with a nursery closure, a stranded lorry and a cancelled bus service.

Puzzle Centre in Middle Claydon is shut today because the overnight dump made the approach roads too dangerous to drive on.

The specialist nursery for children with autism posted on Facebook to say the roads are ‘incredibly slippy’ but it ‘plans to open tomorrow’.

The number 50 bus is not serving Great Horwood or Little Horwood and a lorry, which became stuck on a hill close to Whitchurch, caused tailback traffic on the A413.

Warren Whyte, Bucks county councillor for Buckingham East, tweeted: “Hummmm. Whitchurch to Hardwick on #A413 southbound over 30 mins for less than 2 miles.”

Clerk at Buckingham Town Council, Christopher Wayman, tweeted: “Live just off the Tingewick Road & it’s not regularly gritted & can b a death trap cos of the no. of cars that skid.”
