GOAT will be on the menu at Winslow’s farmers’ market on Sunday.
Local farmers Terrys of Swanbourne run a small but growing herd of free-range goats. All the company’s goat meat is from young animals born and reared on the farm, so it can guarantee both its traceability and the standard of care of the animals.
It says goat meat is low in cholesterol, high in iron and has ounce for ounce less fat than chicken, with a flavour between lamb and beef, and makes a great roast dinner.
Also at the market, cheese sellers Fowlers of Earlswood are back, as are Frithsden Vineyard with their new vintage. Passionflour Bakery are now taking a regular stall with cupcakes, iced biscuits and special occasion cakes.
Winslow Town Council will be using the community stall to promote the forthcoming elections on May 5. Find out the town council does and what is involved in being a town councillor.
Winslow band the Cantells will be playing their unique blend of acoustic country folk music for your enjoyment.
