Steeple Aston man dies after bike crash

A STEEPLE Aston man has died following a collision between a motorcycle and car on Sunday.

Police are seeking witnesses to the collision, which happened as a group of motorcyclists encountered a group of off-road vehicles on the B4031 at Iron Down Hill, near Barford St Michael, at just after 6.30pm.

A black Kawasaki ZX motorcycle was in collision with a red Land Rover Discovery. The 53-year-old motorcyclist was taken to the Horton Hospital in Banbury, where he later died.

PC Michael Barrett, of Bicester Roads Policing, said: “The Land Rover was with three other 4x4 vehicles and the motorcycle was with two other bikes at the time of the collision.”
