A former police station could be converted into student accommodation, under plans before Aylesbury Vale District Council (AVDC).
A public exhibition is being held next week over the proposed conversion of the old Buckingham Police Station, on Moreton Road.
The Grade II-listed building has been unoccupied since the neighbourhood policing team relocated to new, purpose-built offices in Buckingham’s Swan Business Centre in November 2012.
Now Montpelier Estates, which carried out the sympathetic renovation of Maids Moreton Hall in 2012, has outlined plans to turn the Victorian police station into student accommodation with six bedrooms and build a new block of 29 student apartments on the site.
The form of the existing rooms would be maintained, with the former police cells in the lower ground level being converted into study rooms.
The plan includes parking for eight cars and 14 bicycles.
Buckingham residents are invited to a public exhibition of the plans in the old police station from 4pm to 7pm on Wednesday, July 2.
Representatives of Montpelier will be available to answer questions and hear your comments.
