Maid’s Moreton Hall residents and guests savoured the last of the sunny weather as they enjoyed a summer garden party which raised more than £750 for the Stroke Association.

It featured musical entertainment and a visit from the local fire team, as well as old favourites such as hook-a-duck, guess-the-cake weight and a coconut shy.

There was also a stocks, where party-goers could throw wet sponges at staff.
