Buckingham man Chris Birch is now taking bookings for his festive Christmas readings.

For the last two years, Mr Birch has performed a one-man version of Dickens’ A Christmas Carol in churches and village halls, raising almost £10,000 for Parkinson’s UK and local charities.

His readings return this year, but this time A Christmas Carol is being joined by a companion reading, Jacob T. Marley.

Who was Jacob Marley? How did he and Scrooge meet? What effect did Marley have on Scrooge and what happened to Marley after his ghostly meeting with Scrooge?

Mr Birch is now taking bookings for December to read either story. All he needs is a lectern for his script and a £200 donation for Parkinson’s UK. Proceeds from the event then go to a cause of your choice,

Mr Birch is supporting Parkinsons UK after his father died from complications related to the disease. To find more about the readings, contact Mr Birch on 01280 816919 or chris@codepurple.co.uk
