CHARITY DAY: Olympic swimmer Craig Gibbons, who grew up in Steeple Claydon, has announced he is to become a patron of Padbury-based charity Brain Tumour Research.

And Craig, who recently qualified to swim for Team GB at the London Olympics this summer, will be supporting the charity’s annual Wear A Hat Day campaign to increase awareness of the devastating disease by wearing a hat on March 30.
