A teenager has been given a community order after being found in possession of a lock knife.

Charlotte Waugh, of Mere Lane in Finmere, pleaded guilty in January to possessing a lock knife in a public place.

The charge related to an incident in Well Street, Buckingham, on December 20.

Waugh made her guilty plea at Aylesbury Magistrates Court in January and was granted unconditional bail.

On Monday this week, she appeared before Milton Keynes Magistrates for sentencing.

She was sentenced to a community order comprising 120 hours of unpaid work.

She also has to pay a £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

A forfeiture and distruction order was made for the lock knife.
