Dozens of scarecrow heroes and villains filled 12 village gardens as hundreds of people enjoyed stalls and games.
The annual Syresham Scarecrow Festival, now in its 11th year, showcased up to 80 scarecrows, including The Wombles, Bernie Ecclestone and Land Girls, and raised £150 to support Help For Heroes.
A 16-strong village hall committee organised the two-day event which included an art exhibition and its chairman Christina Munsey said the sunshine over the weekend made it a memorable day,
She said: “We have had some mixed weather before so we were very lucky and very pleased.
“There were some wonderful scarecrows. Lots of Spider-Mans and Supermans but some unique ones too. It’s amazing how people’s imagination are very fertile.
“I’d like to thank everybody that took part from the scarecrow makers to the organising group. Even if they just came to spend some money.
“They make the event. The community makes the event.”
