WINSLOW PC Martin Siderman is among 11 members of the Buckingham neighbourhood policing team who are all growing moustaches to support Movember UK.
During November each year, thousands of men sprout facial hair to raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health, in particular prostate and testicular cancer.
PC Siderman said the team got involved after colleague PC Alex Bell was diagnosed with prostate cancer four years ago, aged just 26.
PC Bell said: “It was a big shock. But I was lucky I caught it early enough.”
PC Siderman said: “As a team, we’ve decided to donate our faces to charity.
“I’ve lost members of my family and friends to this disease so it’s certainly close to my own heart.”
