About 200 spectators turned out on Saturday to watch a charity tournament at Buckingham Rugby Club that raised over £3,000 for charity.

The money will be divided between the Kirk Nokes Memorial Fund, Myeloma UK in memory of Adrian Barton and Cynthia Spencer Hospice in memory of club vice-president and coach Mike Dawson.

Six teams played. In the final, the Bulldogs beat a Buckingham Select Team 12-0.

In the playoffs, Kirk’s Kolts beat the Pot Belly Farmers four tries to two to come 3rd.

The 1st team is back in league actionon Saturday when they welcome Witney with a 2.15pm kick-off.
