Food start-up companies could get a helping hand thanks to a bursary scheme set up by the organisers of the Towcester Food Festival.
Any new food business can apply for the scheme, which will allow them to exhibit at the festival, taking place on June 7 and 8, at a 60 per cent discount.
Festival chief executive Crispin Slee said: “As well as being able to sell over the weekend, exhibitors will be able to showcase their produce to thousands of new, potential customers. We will be inviting buyers from local farm shops to attend the festival and they will be out spotting for talent.”
Only ten bursary places will be available and applications must be made by March 7.
Applications will be reviewed by a panel of judges. Details of how to apply can be found at www.towcesterfoodfestival.co.uk
