A WORLD record breaking paralympian helped give disabled swimmers better access to the pool when she cut the ribbon on new changing room in Towcester last month.
During her 11-year-long swimming career Beverly Gull MBE has broken 13 world records and won three gold, four silver and one bronze over the course for two Paralympic Games.
On Thursday, January 28 she helped cut the ribbon on new changing rooms at the Towcester Centre for Leisure which include more space and a facilities than normal disabled changing rooms to cater for people with profound disabilities.
Mrs Gull thanked everyone involved in the introduction of the changing room and added: “I know that more people with a disability will now go swimming and indeed use the entire leisure centre more.”
The new facilities were funded by Northants County Council.
