TRANSPORT minister Theresa Villiers paid a visit to Bicester Town railway station this morning.

Ms Villiers viewed plans for a a new east-west rail route linking Reading, Oxford, Bicester, Aylesbury, Milton Keynes and Bedford.

Her visit followed last week’s news that the Government would commit to the £280million project.

Trains could be running on the new service within five years.
