A woman was injured in a collision on the M40 this morning, Monday (28/2).

At around 10.10am, a green Volkswagen Beetle and a white Vauxhall Astra collided as they were travelling south between junctions 10 and 9.

The driver of the Beetle was taken to John Radcliffe Hospital for treatment although her injuries aren’t believed to be serious.

PC Richard Medway, from Bicester Roads Policing, said: “It is possible there may be a third vehicle involved in the collision which didn’t stop at the scene. We are also keen to trace the driver of a white curtain-sided lorry, with Krato Chivil written on the side in red. It is possible the driver carried on travelling southbound but could have turned off on the A34 towards Oxford.”

The area was congested while the motorway was closed but it has reopened. Anyone with information should contact PC Medway on 08458 505505 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
