A WINSLOW resident has thrown down the gauntlet to all prospective candidates in the May council elections to state their position on car parking charges in their election manifestos.

Ruth Ash has led a year-long campaign against Aylesbury Vale District Council plans to introduce charges to the town’s Greyhound Lane car park, obtaining 2,186 signatures on a petition.

Now she has issued a challenge “to anybody and everybody who’s standing for election” to make clear their position on parking charges to the electorate.
