Trees damaged in Bicester

Several trees in a park area in Bicester are to be replaced at a cost of £16,000 following incidents of criminal damage.

Between October 26 and 31, at Whitelands Way, in Kingsmere, offenders caused damage to trees in a park by bending them, causing them to snap.

As a result of this damage, the trees have died.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses. PC Chris Kidd, from Bicester police station said: “If there are any members of the public, especially dog walkers, who may have seen people acting suspiciously in the area, please get in touch.”
