Former star of TV reality show The Apprentice, Katie Wright, was guest of honour at the official opening of a Buckingham solicitors’ new offices on Friday last week.
Ms Wright, who nicknamed herself the Blonde Assassin on the BBC show, is the daughter of Tony Gilroy, partner at the firm’s Brackley office.
High-flier Ms Wright, who grew up in Brackley, has a first class honours degree and a masters, from the London School of Economics.
She is currently the business development director of Liberata, which supplies services to local government.
Friday’s celebration marked the move of Gilroy Steel’s Buckingham branch to larger premises on the High Street, next to Flappers.
The firm also has an office in Northampton.
The partners of all three branches attended the gathering, along with guests including local estate agents and business representatives.
Buckingham partner Claire Burgess told the Advertiser the move to new offices would give the firm a much bigger high street presence.
She said: “It means people can pop in off the street. It opens it up to having more clients and we’re looking to do more areas of law as well.
“We’ve got a new starter starting in a few weeks to begin building a matrimonial department.
“Hopefully it’s a nice tie-in with conveyancing, which we do anyway, and hopefully she’ll have some success and grow the firm even more than we have already.”
