Members of the cycling club of Mouvaux, Buckingham’s French twin town, met up with the Swan Wheelers for a 45km ride on Saturday.
The French cyclists had cycled into town the previous evening, arriving in a cavalcade in time for Buckingham Twinning’s annual boules competition.
A coach followed with seven pétanque players and families, more than 34 visitors in all.
It was a tight competition with an exciting final played out under floodlights with more than 100 spectators, under the trees in the Old Cattle Pens, and was eventually won by the French visitors.
The twinning association thanked Paul at Solstice Cycles.
