Police are appealing for witnesses to a road traffic collision near Bullingdon Prison on Christmas Eve in which two people were seriously injured.

The collision happened on the B4011 close to the prison, in Bicester, at about 8.50pm.

Two vehicles were involved in the head-on collision – a black Ford Focus and a silver Kia Rio.

A 30-year-old man, who was a passenger in the Ford, and a 55-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the Kia, were injured.

They are both being treated for serious injuries at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.
