The car and motorbike involved in a crash on the A5 at Fosters Booth this morning have been removed.

Just before 11am Advertiser photographer Jake McNulty took this picture of the silver Astra and a motorbike being removed from the scene.

He reported local traffic is being guided around the accident site, while the road remains closed to through traffic.

Original story - The accident happened near the turnoff for Foster’s Booth Road, Pattishall, at about 7.40am today, Friday.

The road has been closed in both directions between the junction with the A43 in Towcester and the A45 High Street junction in Weedon Bec.

The air ambulance and other emergency services were called to the scene and police said the man riding the motorbike sustained some injuries.

Nobody else is believed to have been hurt in the accident.

Police officers were still at the scene at about 8.30am.
