A selfie with nine-time champion Valentino Rossi is among auction items at a British MotoGP warm up event.
Riders for Health is staging the auction to raise money for life-saving health care in Africa and last year’s event made more than £77,000.
But this year, it is hoping to smash that amount with a number of unique auction items.
They include a selfie with Rossi, Colin Edwards’ leathers, a Bridgestone Tyre signed by all MotoGP riders, John Surtees’ autobiography signed by himself and Rossi, Marc Marquez’s elbow sliders and Jorge Lorenzo’s helmet.
Successful bidders can also land Stefan Bradl’s gloves, Bradley Smith’s boots and track hospitality passes with LRC Honda.
The Day Of Champions event on August 28 will also include live music, a classic bike village and stunt shows from the Tigers Children’s Motorcycle Display Team and world-renown trials rider Dougie Lampkin.
But the auction will be the main event as people get the chance to meet Rossi and the stars ahead of the British MotoGP on August 29-31.
Money raised supports workers who need well maintained motorcycles and ambulances to deliver healthcare to 14 million people in rural areas.
Tickets for the event are £15 and free for children aged 15 and under. Visit www.silverstone.co.uk or call 0844 3750 740.
