Images of hundreds of garden ornaments and tools which may have been stolen from homes across the region have been released by police.

The collection of ‘possibly stolen’ items, which appear in the four-minute slide show, were seized following an operation by Northants Police.

It has seen five people arrested today in connection with a large number of thefts in rural parts of south Northamptonshire.

Detective inspector for Northnats Police, Phil Mills, said: “We are very pleased to have made these arrests and to have found a substantial number of items which we believe to be stolen.

“Operations like this show our commitment to tackling rural crime and protecting our rural communities.

“We would now like to hear from anyone, particularly those in the Daventry and south Northamptonshire areas, if they believe they have had items like these stolen.”

Anyone who thinks they could have been victims of thefts can call 101.
