Tingewick and Water Stratford Horticultural Society held its 88th annual Summer Show last Saturday, with more than 30 exhibitors and 500 exhibits.
Despite the wet summer there were lovely displays of flowers, fruit and vegetables.
Mouthwatering cakes, jams and chutneys were entered in the domestic classes and for the first time the males of the species had the opportunity to show off their cake-baking abilities.
The handicraft section allowed exhibitors to show off their practical skills, while some of the flower arranging classes had a Diamond Jubilee theme.
The photography exhibits included some beautiful images and another first this year was the award of the Junior Photographer’s Cup.
The well-attended show also included a card stall, second hand book stall, tombola, raffle and refreshments. The show ended with the presentation of cups and Best Exhibit certificates to the winners and an auction of produce.
