Steeple Claydon residents are pictured at a dress rehearsal for the village Nativity in the Streets, which takes place on Sunday.

The first scene of the “good news” will be outside the village newsagents at 5.30pm, then on to the field at The Green, where local shepherd Keith Howard has his lambs trained to follow him along the route through the village, knocking on doors for room.

Innkeeper Clive Griffin, from The Fountain, finds them a space in his stable and live music ensues.

The star of Bethlehem (fireworks) guides the three wise men to the scene and the postmistress announces the delivery.
