A live re-enactment of the Christmas story is taking place in North Marston at 3pm on Saturday, December 17. Twelve villagers are taking parts, including newcomers Melissa and Mark Payne as Mary and Joseph, with local builder Roy Randles as the innkeeper and Aly Perrett as his wife. The angel of the Lord will be vicar’s wife Pamela Gorringe.

The play has been written by David Heffer, 80, who has lived in North Marston for over 50 years.

The live tableau will start at a riding stable and progress through the village to the hall where mince pies and coffee will be served. All are welcome to the free event, and donations are invited for the rebuilding of the former Methodist church.
