SUPPORTERS of the Warks and Northants Air Ambulance are being urged to check which clothing collection bags they use for donations.

Volunteers for the WNAA, a registered charity, have received nurmerous calls from people confused about which bags are for donations to the WNAA.

Some supporters have received bags from the profit making organisation the Air Ambulance Service (AAS).

A spokesman for the WNAA said none of the donations made through the AAS will benefit the WNAA.

Catherine Foster, WNAA senior fund raiser said it is upsetting that supporters are confused in this way and urged them to check for WNAA registered charity number 1098874.

She added: “As a charity we rely on voluntary income to keep us flying and saving lives and it is upsetting that this company seems to be confusing people over who they are donating to.”
