Woman bitten by dog in Towcester

A woman was bitten by a dog outside a shop in Towcester.

The woman had finished shopping at the Co-Op in Watling Street at about 9.30am on Sunday, February 23 when she was bitten.

When she left the shop, she walked past a dog which was tied up outside. The dog then jumped up and bit her on the left leg.

The dog’s owner then left the store and asked the woman if she had been bitten. When she said she had, he kicked the dog. He also became aggressive with members of the public.

He was a white man, between 45 and 55-years-old and between 5ft 8in and 5ft 10in with a slim to medium build.

He was wearing a dark leather-effect hat and a dark jacket, was clean shaven and had a shaved head.
