NEW stalls have joined Bicester's farmers' market after a co-operative took over the running this week.
The Thames Valley Farmers' Market Co-operative (TVFMC) has taken over from Bicester Town Council.

A vegetable stall, Wychwood Deer Park venison, Bensons apple juices, Fosseway Honey, UGM Nursery from Banbury, the Garlic Farm, Alre Watercress and Pippin Doughnuts have joined the market's existing stalls.

Town councillor Debbie Pickford set up the farmers' market in December 2000 when she was mayor. She said: "As a farmer's daughter I know how important it is to help the rural economy and when I read about the farmers' market movement in America, I decided we should have one in Bicester."

Bicester's farmers' market is usually held on the second Thursday of the month. For more information, visit www.tvfm.org.uk
