STUDENTS at Bicester Community College took part in a Big Tidy Up as part of the national Keep Britain Tidy campaign.
A total of 23 students from Years 7, 8 and 9 donned bright green tabards, took up litter pickers and black sacks and went around the college grounds for an hour collecting any litter they could find.

Organiser Sue Quainton said: "The students were extremely thorough and left the college grounds litter free."
The students wanted to make a difference in their local area by helping to rid their environment of rubbish.

Visiting officer Paul Moorcroft, from the Oxfordshire Waste Partnership, said he was impressed by the students' hard work.

All participating youngsters got a chocolate bar as a reward, and made sure every wrapper ended up in the correct bin.

A Big Tidy Up was also recently held in Launton as part of the Keep Britain Tidy campaign, which is led by the ENCAMS environmental charity.
