Bicester & North Oxford 1st XV recorded just their second victory of the season when they caused an upset in beating Division Three leaders Cublington by four runs.
Batting first, danger man Richard Simpson departed for just seven before Cublington bowlers Sam Carter and Greg Jenkins made further inroads.
Phil Rice picked up four wickets to run through the middle-order but Graham Savin offered some much-needed resistance as he played well for his 62 for the visitors, who finished on 175-9 from 53 overs.
Cublington appeared to be cruising to the target in reply, with Bill Burton and Joe Leonard putting on 50 for the first wicket.
However, Simpson and Ben Clark dragged Bicester right back into the match with a flurry of wickets before George Coote’s 57 appeared to put the home side back on track.
But he departed to Michael Simpson, who took 4-53, including the final wicket of Paul Tomlinson to give Bicester a dramatic victory.
Bicester stay in seventh and entertain Long Marston this weekend.
