BUCKINGHAM: Police have warned motorists not to leave cars unattended with keys in the ignition, after a black Ford Focus was stolen from outside a home in Cheyne Close in Page Hill, Buckingham, at about 7.30am on Monday morning.

Insp Emma Garside said: “With the recent heavy frosts, it can be tempting to start vehicles up and retreat inside your home while they warm up and defrost.

“Leaving a vehicle unlocked with the engine running is an inviting opportunity to have it stolen. Everyone always thinks it won’t happen to them, but that’s the one time your car could be stolen.”
