THE New Bekash restaurant in Towcester will raise money for a young rugby player’s London Marathon bid with a charity event on Monday, January 30.

Abdul Towahid, of the New Bekash, said he was proud to support Tows 1st XV regular Craig Holton, 19, who is running the London Marathon to raise money for Bowel Cancer UK.

Mr Towahid added: “Once his father had been diagnosed he said, ‘well, this is the time to do something.’

“So he’s just decided to go for it.”

The restaurant in Watling Street has previously raised money for charities including the Friends of Silverstone School and Macmillan Cancer Support.

It will donate 15 per cent of takings to Bowel Cancer UK from restaurant and takeaway orders, and diners are invited to enjoy a great meal while supporting a deserving charity.

Contact the New Bekash on 01327 350505 for bookings and details.
